Leapers Showcases Multiple New SiC Module Products at PCIM Germany, Secures Numerous Orders

Category: Company News Date: 2025-05-19 13:17 Author: Leapers

May 6, 2025 — The PCIM Europe exhibition, a global benchmark in the power electronics industry, was grandly held in Nuremberg, Germany. Leapers made a striking appearance with its new high-performance SiC and IGBT module products, attracting numerous overseas clients and industry experts for in-depth exchanges. Multiple customers also reached strategic cooperation intentions on-site.

Leapers’ booth was situated alongside those of international industry leaders such as Infineon, Bosch, Wolfspeed, Danfoss, STMicroelectronics, and Mitsubishi. Despite the competition, Leapers’ booth drew comparable attention, demonstrating the global competitiveness of its products.

As SiC modules rapidly gain traction across industries, Leapers, a pioneer in domestic SiC module applications, is driving and embracing this wave of adoption. At this exhibition, Leapers showcased new products designed as "high-efficiency power conversion solutions" tailored to specific application scenarios. By upgrading silicon-based IGBT products into SiC modules, Leapers integrates advanced packaging technologies with practical industry needs, striving to become the "module of choice" for customers in real-world applications.

1. Launch of LPP Series SiC & IGBT Modules, Voltage Range 1200V–3300V

For applications in new energy grids, rail transit, and electric vessels, Leapers unveiled its LPP series SiC and IGBT modules. With a maximum current rating of 1800A, the series also marks Leapers’ first 3300V SiC module. Featuring low stray inductance, high-voltage resistance, multi-chip parallel design, and advantages such as high power density, large current output, and exceptional reliability, the modules have already secured multiple domestic and international orders in energy storage, high-voltage cascading systems, and marine propulsion.

2. SMD Molded Modules and Driver Solutions for Power Supply Applications

Targeting power supply and APF applications, Leapers introduced SMD molded modules and driver solutions. The platform supports top-side cooling and surface-mount/soldering installation, with packages including Half-Bridge, Boost, Chopper, and Single topologies. Integrated NTC and insulated substrates significantly reduce system costs and stray parameters compared to traditional Easy modules.

3. ED3, 62mm, 34mm, SOT227, and Easy SiC Modules Gain Broad Adoption

For mid-frequency power supplies and motor control, Leapers displayed its full range of SiC modules, including Easy, SOT227, 34mm, 62mm, ED3, and ED3S, with current ratings spanning from tens of amps to nearly 1000A. These products are already in mass production and widely deployed, particularly in induction heating, electroplating power supplies, mid-frequency power systems, and motor control. Bulk orders from overseas markets further solidify Leapers’ leadership in SiC application innovation.

2025 marks Leapers’ fifth consecutive year at PCIM Germany. Since its inception, Leapers has been committed to delivering high-quality SiC and IGBT modules, positioning itself as a next-generation power semiconductor supplier. While accelerating domestic market development, Leapers continues to expand globally, with R&D centers in Japan and subsidiaries in Italy. The company has secured orders from clients in the U.S., Germany, and other regions, and aims to become the preferred module supplier in grid infrastructure, rail transit, and commercial vehicles.
